Position Overview:

The Southeast Regional Sales Representative is responsible for developing new business and maintaining existing business within the assigned territory for all MK markets with a strong emphasis in Energy Storage, Stationary Power, and Power Mobility. He/she will administer all aspects of the sales cycle for customers, help to proactively develop business relationships, expand the customer base, respond to customer needs and inquiries in a timely fashion, and consistently grow the business.

This role requires excellent organizational skills and ability to manage a variety of concurrent tasks and information, all while providing the necessary persistent follow up and follow through to deliver an exceptional level of service to both internal and external customers.

The region includes the following states: Florida, Georgia, Tennessee, South Carolina, and Alabama.

The ideal home base would be Central or South Florida or Atlanta.

 

Regional Field Sales Responsibilities:

  • Develop new business in all targeted markets.
  • Maintain existing established customer base.
  • Visit existing customers and new prospects 3-4 days a week.
  • Overnight travel is required to effectively cover the territory.
  • Perform in-service battery training for customers in key markets.
  • Attend assigned trade shows.
  • Work closely with both RSM and Category Managers to grow the business.
  • Communicate daily with customer service group in Anaheim, Ca, as well as drivers and warehouse personnel in the territory.
  • Office days that include the following and not to exceed 1-2 days per week:
  • Telephone prospecting
  • Appointment setting
  • CRM administration
  • Customer follow-up activities
  • Sales planning

 

Requirements:

Skills/ Knowledge

  • A technical aptitude with strong motivation toward continuous education
  • Excellent written, verbal and presentation skills
  • Strong interpersonal and superior listening skills
  • Exceptional organizational skills, attention to detail and time management
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Suite of products including Excel, Word and PowerPoint required- CRM software proficiency preferred.

Education/ Experience:

  • Minimum 5 years direct B2B sales experience
  • Previous battery sales experience preferred but not required
  • Verifiable employment history
